Thanks for stopping by. If you’ve found this page then it is likely that you are either living a gluten free lifestyle or just looking for some healthy and/or delicious alternatives to your favorite foods.
Well… So am I. That’s why I started this blog; to give myself a just reason to explore all kinds of sugars, flours, substitutions, wins and fails, and dietary trends, all of which will be gluten free. Why specifically? Because that way I get to eat it all!
I love food (good thing I love fitness as well otherwise this would be a very slippery slope). However, this love of food and cooking has been just a little more difficult to experience as I have developed some restrictions. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes (insulin dependent) when I was ten years old. Consequently, this has been a cautious journey through sweets and all the glorious things that my enormous sweet tooth forces me to crave. A few years later I was diagnosed with Celiac. This means no gluten; no normal pastries, pizza, cakes, cookies, breads, etc., and being very very careful with choosing lipstick, lotions, and other cosmetics. Goodbye careless childhood indulgence.
But thank God I love food (and baking and cooking)! So, with a lot of practice, I figured out some cool things about gluten free ingredients and gluten free living, with some side-notes about other dietary restrictions, substitutions, and fun food art! Hopefully I can help some of you discover recipes that you love and make your transition to gluten free, or already gluten free lifestyle just a bit more delicious (and healthy)!
